75 Years history of Pentapharm

Pentapharm was founded in 1948 by Viktor Stürm and Edmund Percs and is based in Aesch next to Basel in Switzerland. The company started out by specializing in R&D and production of active ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry, focusing mainly on extraction from natural sources. Over the years, the company has grown to encompass not only pharmaceuticals but also diagnostics, relating to haemostasis as well to the cosmetic industry. Pentapharm was later acquired by DSM and become part of DSM Nutritional Products. Pentapharm has been over the years and is still known for its high quality products and quality systems, its reliability and its commitment to technology and innovation in all its operating divisions.
